Cast lights are designed by studio vit for Ace Hotel London Shoreditch. The collection consists of two lights, a pendant and a table light, which combines the materials cast concrete and glass. Using a sphere and a half sphere, the collection is made up from geometrical form and opposite materials.

The Ready Made Go project consists of a collection of new products that have been designed, developed and made especially for Ace Hotel London Shoreditch. Modern Design Review magazine selected a group of designers, commissioned the products and worked with them, in collaboration with Ace Hotel, to create objects that have now been produced and installed. These items are permanent additions to the hotel.

The Cast Lights are a pendant and a table light made from cast concrete and hand- blown borosilicate glass. The design for the pendant lights responded to a need for lighting over a vitrine and the table lights were needed as a exible and moveable lighting solution for the hotels reception and shop area. Studio Vit have created a small family of lights that used minimal geometric forms and contrasting materials.

The material choice was a reaction to the hard materials already present in Ace Hotel’s interior whilst the subtle play between forms is a typical Studio Vit charac- teristic.
